Fresh back from DEMO early this morning, I found myself getting ready to attend yet another event this afternoon, this one in Mankato, MN, of all places — the RAIN Makers conference. It’s an annual gathering sponsored by RAIN Source Capital of St. Paul, which manages a large network of angel funds throughout the upper midwest. The keynote speaker was my good friend Rich Karlgaard, publisher of Forbes. His talk was a big hit with the 150 attendees, mostly experienced angels and successful business owners.
